Xiaomi was largely rumoured to launch the Mi 6 Plus alongside the Mi 6, but that didn’t happen, and leaks of the Mi 6 Plus also reduced post the Mi 6 launch in April. Now, the Mi 6 Plus has again cropped up online bringing back hopes of a launch soon.

Gizchina found a back cover image of the Mi 6 Plus alongside the Mi 6 smartphone on the Chinese web, hinting that the launch might be around the corner. The Mi 6 Plus back cover is identical to the Mi 6 with respect to design, the only difference being size. The Mi 6 Plus size is bigger than the Mi 6, as expected.

The Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus has been rumoured on multiple occasions and it is expected to feature a 5.7-inch full-HD display, and Snapdragon 835 SoC. The Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus is tipped to be offered in 4GB of RAM + 64GB storage, 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB variants.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Nokia 3 is priced at Rs. 9,499
  • The smartphone will be available offline only
  • The Nokia 3 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat

The Nokia 3, priced in India at Rs. 9,499, has finally been launched in the country and will be available to purchase starting this Friday from offline stores. It is the cheapest of the three Nokia Android phones launched todayin the country, and has its work cut out in the budget segment of the Indian smartphone market. With the sub-Rs. 10,000 segment overcrowded in India, Nokia 3 is up for tough competition from brands like Xiaomi, Oppo, and even Lenovo. We pit the Nokia 3 against the Xiaomi Redmi 4, Oppo A37 and Lenovo K6 Power to see if it stands tall amidst the competition or not, and how it fares compared to other budget smartphones in India.

Nokia 3 vs Xiaomi Redmi 4 vs Oppo A37 vs Lenovo K6 Power: Price in India, Specifications Compared

Nokia 3 vs Xiaomi Redmi 4 vs Oppo A37 vs Lenovo K6 Power price in India

Starting with the price in India, Nokia 3 has been launched at Rs. 9,499, and will be available offline only. To compare, the Redmi 4 model with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage is priced at Rs. 8,999. This variant is up for grabs on Mi.com and Amazon India exclusively via flash sales. The Oppo A37 is currently available on Amazon India for Rs. 9,848, and Lenovo K6 Power is up for grabs for Rs. 9,999 on Flipkart.

Nokia 3 vs Xiaomi Redmi 4 vs Oppo A37 vs Lenovo K6 specifications

While the full comparison of specifications is in the table below, the big difference seen is that Nokia 3 runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat software. However, Nokia 3 sports a MediaTek processor, while the others pack different Snapdragon SoCs. Battery capacity on the Nokia 3 is also less when compared to the 4000mAh plus batteries on Lenovo and Xiaomi variants.

While the Nokia 3 seems to lack in a few specifications, especially when compared to the Redmi 4, its offline availability will be welcome, as will be latest version of Android (with promise for regular updates). Xiaomi Redmi 4 is still going out of stock within minutes in flash sales, and the Nokia 3 could be a good alternative, though we will hold our judgement until we’d had a chance to review the phone.

Nokia 5 vs Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 vs Vivo Y55s vs Moto G5: Price in India, Specifications Compared

HIGHLIGHTS

  • The Nokia 5 is priced at Rs. 12,899
  • The smartphone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat
  • The Nokia 5 will go on pre order from July 7

The Nokia 5, launched alongside the Nokia 3 and Nokia 6, is heading to the Indian market in July. Priced at Rs. 12,899, Nokia 5 is set to compete in the heavily crowded mid-range segment in India. At this price range, Nokia 5 is going to face heavy competition especially from the Redmi Note 4, Vivo Y55s and the Moto G5 smartphones in India. All four smartphones feature specifications and features rather similar to each other’s, but there are a few differences that give one or the other a leg up in the race to pique the buyers’ interest. We pit the Nokia 5 against Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 (3GB + 32GB), Vivo V5, and Motorola’s Moto G5 to ascertain which is the right device for you.

Nokia 5 vs Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 vs Vivo Y55s vs Moto G5: Price in India, Specifications Compared

Nokia 5 vs Redmi Note 4 vs Vivo Y55s vs Moto G5 price in India

As mentioned above, Nokia 5 is priced in India at Rs. 12,899, and will be available for pre-booking starting July 7 through offline channels. In comparison, the Redmi Note 4 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage model is priced at Rs. 12,999 and is made available on Flipkart and Mi.com through flash sales. The Moto G5 is priced at Rs. 11,999 making it the cheapest of the lot, and is available on Amazon India and offline channels as well. Lastly, the Vivo Y55s smartphone is priced at Rs. 12,490 in India, and is available across the country through online and offline channels.

Nokia 5 vs Redmi Note 4 vs Vivo Y55s vs Moto G5 specifications

The Nokia 5 shines on the software front with the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat, while the Moto G5 also sports the Android 7.0 Nougat version, not lagging behind. The other two offer Android Marshmallow with their own skins on top. The only smartphone that does not have a fingerprint sensor in this lot is the Vivo Y55s smartphone. In all the other specification comparisons, the four smartphones fight neck to neck, with Nokia 5 lagging behind slightly in screen resolution, and RAM. It’s worth noting that the Nokia 5 has an 8-megapixel front camera, while the others sport a 5-megapixel front sensor.

Nokia 5 fights well on paper, but offers only 16GB of internal storage, while the Redmi Note 4 offers 64GB in the same price range. The big pain point for the Xiaomi phone is its availability, and if you can’t get your hands on one till July 7, you could consider pre-ordering the Nokia 5 instead, though we suggest you stay tuned to Gadgets 360 for detailed review of the Nokia 5 before you make a decision.

Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth Headset Goes Up for Pre-Orders at Rs. 899

HIGHLIGHTS

  • The headset is already out-of-stock on the website
  • Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth Headset supports Bluetooth 4.1
  • Only Black colour variant is available in India

While Xiaomi’s Redmi 4 India launch is just around the corner, the company has now made its Mi Bluetooth Headset available for pre-orders in the country at Rs. 899. The new headset from Xiaomi weighs just 6.5 grams and has been made available in only Black colour for the country. The headset will be shipped within 5 days of pre-order as per company’s website. Notably, the product seems to have gone out of stock already but might be made available again by the company soon.

Xiaomi’s Mi Bluetooth Headset allows users to accept or end phone calls, reject calls, redial phone numbers, transfer calls, make three-way calls, play or pause music, play next/previous song, and adjust volume. The headset comes with a ceramic antenna, rounded sound cavity, a Bluetooth chip, magnetised moving coil speaker, and a noise-cancelling silicone microphone. “To optimise sound quality for calls and music, we kept the speaker output structure at a narrow 3mm, so that detail in the mid and high frequencies are preserved and noise is significantly reduced,” the Xiaomi says on its website.

Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth Headset Goes Up for Pre-Orders at Rs. 899

The Mi Bluetooth Headset offers noise reduction and supports Bluetooth 4.1, which as per the company’s claims, reduces 4G network interferences and in turn improves device compatibility, stability, and functionality across the board. Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth headset provides 3-4 hours of battery life with regular usage and 100 hours in standby mode, as per the company. Notably, the headset is capable of pairing with two devices simultaneously.

The new Bluetooth headset from Xiaomi comes with silicone earbuds in three different sizes. Let us know in comment section down below if you are interested in buying Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth Headset or have your eyes set on some other headset
